Opened in February 2011, Il Bácaro - Vini & Piattini is a neighbourhood wine bar and restaurant run by people with a passion for food and wine. In a cosy and relaxed place, visitors can taste great food and drink beautiful wines.

Bácaro is named after the humble taverns of Venice (bacari) that have traditionally been a meeting place for friends to have a good laugh, eat great food and enjoy a glass of wine.

il Bácaro - Vini & Piattini features a full service kitchen focusing on italian cuisine, serving ‘cicchetti’, pizzas, pastas, salads and other authentic recipes from Venice and the nearby regions.

We cook with the seasons, source the best available ingredients and make everything in-house. Our menu features thoughtful combinations of seasonal produce, cheeses and meats from local producers and importers.

Since opening in 2011, we have established a reputation as one of Nicosia's premier wine bars and a hub of the local dining scene.

We are passionate about wine and everything that enhances the enjoyment of it - good food, convivial company, and engaging conversation.

Our selection features over 130 different wine labels, with 30 available by the glass. We take great pride in our extensive collection of Italian wines, many of which are imported exclusively by us. We also carry a selection of fortified wines, beers, and spirits.

Our wines can be purchased to enjoy at home, either from our Vinoteca shop or through our Online Shop.

Take out & Delivery

Times change and we have to adopt. If you prefer to enjoy our pizza & pasta at home, you can order online from the major food delivery platforms.
